Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) is
responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients
experiencing medical emergencies, trauma, or acute illness. This
role requires strong critical-thinking skills, rapid
decision-making, and the ability to perform effectively in a
fast-paced, high-stress environment. Key Responsibilities Assess,
triage, and prioritize patient care based on severity of illness or
injury. Perform rapid patient assessments including vital signs,
physical exams, and medical history. Administer medications, IV
fluids, injections, and emergency treatments following physician
orders. Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes or
emergency situations. Perform and assist with emergency procedures
such as CPR, intubation, wound care, splinting, or trauma
interventions. Operate and monitor medical equipment such as
cardiac monitors, ventilators, and defibrillators. Collect
specimens for lab testing and interpret results to support care
decisions. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
members including physicians, technicians, and paramedics. Provide
emotional support, education, and updates to patients and families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic
medical record (EMR). Comply with hospital policies, safety
standards, and infection control protocols. Participate in code
