The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Texas
Tech University Health Sciences Center invites applications for a
12-month non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Practice position
for the Speech-Language Pathology program. Candidates must have
expertise and qualifications in assessing and treating
communication, cognitive, and feeding disorders in the pediatric
population. This position will require the individual to provide
and supervise clinical services for patients in the TTUHSC Speech,
Language, and Hearing Clinic and various other settings (e.g.,
schools) in Lubbock, Texas.
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) has as
its major objectives the provision of high-quality education,
research, and client/community service to meet client and caregiver
needs as part of an interprofessional collaborative team. Our

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences,
administratively housed in the School of Health Professions, offers
two undergraduate programs (traditional Bachelor's and a
post-baccalaureate) and three graduate programs (Master's in SLP,
AuD, and the Communication Disorders concentration for the PhD in
Rehabilitation Science). The Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic
offers assessment and intervention for adults and children with
speech, language, and hearing disorders, and serves as a major
resource for interprofessional education, practice, and research.

Required Qualifications
* Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
* Evidence of at least 10 years of clinical practice with a focus
on pediatric services.
* Demonstrated commitment to working with graduate student
clinicians.
* ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and Texas licensure (or
eligibility).
