Full-Time The Texas Home Visiting Supervisor serves in a strategic
function at Buckner Children and Family Services (BCFS) to help
develop and oversee the implementation of the Texas Home Visiting
contract including overseeing and developing Home Visitors
utilizing the SafeCare curriculum. Maintain compliance to contract
as well as fidelity to SafeCare model. Ensure documentation is
accurate and timely. Provide families with information with
sensitivity to cultural and socio-economic needs of each client.
Positively present this program and the need for such programs to
the local community. Serve as a resource for program collaboration,
the community, and other BCFS programs. What you'll do: Ensure
compliance to Texas Home Visiting contract as well as fidelity to
SafeCare model. Recruit and engage families to receive services and
determine family eligibility. Prepares and monitors budgets in
addition to managing program resources to insure efficient and
appropriate usage. Performs other administrative duties as
required. Develops and implements new special projects and programs
based on community needs. Emphasizes safety for employees through
training, reporting, and monitoring. Work with program staff to
assess educational needs of adult and child clients in all assigned
program areas; strategize, develop, and implement programs to
target those client specific needs. Identify and develop relevant
curriculum for each assigned program area, ensuring that curriculum
meets the needs of the clients and conforms with all Buckner
guidelines, licensing regulations or contract requirements
governing the program. Provide direct childcare staff with training
and technical assistance necessary to implement educational
programming. Provide ongoing training for staff in lesson planning,
classroom management, and delivery of curriculum. Ensure Texas Home
Visiting staff have adequate materials, supplies, and equipment to
implement quality educational programming. Manage program resources
to ensure they are used efficiently and appropriately. Identify
resources within the community to supplement educational
programming. Represent Buckner programs in the community through
attendance at events, meetings, training sessions, etc. Plan and
organize field trips as well as off-campus and on-campus activities
for adults and children who participate in Buckner programs.
Provide consultation as necessary to Home Visitors for the purpose
of problem-solving and quality control; periodically accompany Home
Visitors on home visits. Facilitate communication between Home
Visitors and the Program Director. Monitor the performance of each
Home Visitor as it relates to recordkeeping and documentation,
relationship development, fidelity to the parenting education
curriculum/model, compliance with contract terms and the goals and
the philosophy of family strengthening, assessment of risk, and
other critical components of the program. Facilitate the
identification, development and strengthening of community
resources for families. Provide program information to the
community through media contacts, speaking engagements,
participation in community events, attendance at advocacy groups,
meetings with Child Protective Services and other child and family
service organizations, etc. Enter data into appropriate database.
Review Home Visitor documentation, at least monthly, as part of CQI
process. Ensure confidentiality and security of all records, both
paper and electronic, are always maintained. What you'll bring:
Requires a basic understanding of a comprehensive knowledge
normally associated with the attainment of a Bachelor's degree.
Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3-5 years prior related
experience required or equivalent combination of work experience
and education in social services or related field. Master's degree
preferred. Experience in assessments and supervision of in-home
programs preferred. Requires experience in early childhood
intervention/prevention programs or developmental programs.
Requires ability to relate cross-culturally and with varying
socio-economic groups in a variety of contexts. Requires ability to
drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate
state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of
liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under
Buckner's insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on
behalf of Buckner. Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force
occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up
to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged
