*This position is based at our Hampton Farms location in Lubbock, TX.**The Company*Hampton Farms is the leading In-Shell Peanut Company in the US. We are also a leading producer of other types of nuts and nut butters for the retail and commercial markets. You can find our product in most grocery stores and major league baseball stadiums. We distribute under the Hampton Farms brand and are also a leading private label manufacturer.*Job Purpose*This is a full-time experienced Maintenance Technician position that is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing photo eyes, motor starters, power supplies, limit switches, proximity sensors, pneumatic or automatic conveyors, rollers, lifts, and some robotics within a distribution center. Additionally, the technician will be working to troubleshoot, PM and upkeep automated loaders. Maintenance technicians are also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC electrical systems, reading schematics, and using electrical testing equipment (Volt-Ohm meter, amp meter, oscilloscope). Our experienced Maintenance technicians contribute a unique skillset using preventative maintenance systems, work order tracking through a CMMS. Maintenance technicians have the skill and flexibility to work on any equipment within the facility and may need to operate Arc Welders, Mig Welders and Heliarc (TIG) Welders for repair, and fabrication. The knowledge to use scissor lifts, Boom lifts and a man basket are preferred. *This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.*We set industry standards in terms of pay and benefits. We asked our Maintenance technicians what we should tell you about your workday, and this is what they had to say:* *Essential Duties and Responsibilities** You will use your extensive knowledge to assist entry-level mechanics with difficult repairs.* You are willing to work under pressure to fix equipment* You will work urgently to get the equipment back up and running* You will be troubleshooting issues on a wide variety of equipment* You will conduct repair failures of production and facilities equipment* You will ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability* Responding to maintenance calls is part of your job, and this can sometimes mean helping complete a repair that has already been started* You will inspect machines, develop repair lists and identify short-term and long-term repairs so that machines run correctly* You will work from task lists when diagnosing machines and taking corrective actions* Professional insight and knowledge of the operation of our equipment will enable you to understand problems and take action to resolve issues.Do you have an electrical certification, maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, or welding experience?If so, you are likely well-equipped to join the team.
