Position Description
The Enterprise IT Business Analyst III scope of responsibility
includes understanding the business goals and processes of Texas
Tech departments, ability to use this knowledge to document
business processes, serve as a liaison between central IT and
functional departments assisting in support of software
applications and manage business analyst projects, as needed.
Additional responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and
developing data relative to business areas, assisting in
implementation and configurations of software applications, and
suggesting improvements in business processes as automation is
implemented. The IT Business Analyst will document project
definitions and business needs for automation use by the
programming staff. Enterprise positions are restricted for use in
central IT Division areas reporting up to the institutional CIO
and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership and/or
functional leadership from the Texas Tech University System
institutions.

Major/Essential Functions
While limited management oversight may be expected for specific
projects, this position is expected to exercise discretion and
independent judgment of the following duties:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus five (5) years related full-time
paid experience OR a combination or related education and/or
experience.
Applicants for this Security Sensitive Level II position will be
subject to a criminal background check and must pass a drug and
alcohol test after a conditional offer of employment has been
extended, but before employment can be confirmed.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the
individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring
department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional
