Position Description
Contributes to the university's mission through teaching and
service. Teacher Education Department in the College of Education
invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Non-Tenure
Lecturer (Exempt) position to begin September 1, 2024.

About the Department/School/Area
The Department of Teacher Education in the College of Education at
Texas Tech University is seeking a dynamic educator to serve as a
full-time face-to-face lecturer in the innovative Tech Teach
program. Tech Teach, is a district-based, undergraduate teacher
preparation program designed to serve as a "talent pipeline" for
partner districts. The program is clinically intensive,
competency-based, and focused on measurably improving student
achievement. Tech Teach will focus on the preparation and
certification of undergraduate teacher candidates for inclusive
teaching in K-12 classrooms.
Major/Essential Functions
Primary Responsibilities
Teaching four face-to-face Special Populations courses in the Tech
Teach program as assigned.
Other Duties
This position may require travel to the area schools to support and
evaluate teacher candidates, online teaching, and participation in
program-level professional development and departmental
meetings.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the
individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring
department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional

Some field based instructors will observe students, so some travel
will be required. Classes are conducted at various times throughout
the day and evening.
