Job Description:
Machine Operator As a total interior solutions resource, the

largest importer and fabricator of natural stone countertops in
Texas, and we have an immediate need for a Machine Operator located
in the Lubbock, TX area. The position is primarily responsible for
Cutting stone to size based off a shop template/cut sheet. Produces
machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer
numerical control machine; maintain quality and safety standards;
maintain records, equipment, and supplies.
Responsibilities:Understand all tools, equipment, and procedures
for cutting stone products in a safe and productive
manner.Understand the various stone types and specifications of the
products available to cut. Programs machines by entering
instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool
registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches,
calculating requirements, including basic match, geometry, and
trigonometry (levels II and III).Maintains specifications by
observing cutting including turning, facing, knurling and thread
chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions;
troubleshooting processes, adjusting, and reprogramming controls;
inspecting and replacing worn tools (levels II and III).Set up
machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production
cycle.Perform daily tasks with attention to quality, safety, and
efficiency.Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).Inspect
pieces with precision and measuring tools (tape measure,
micrometers).Able to miter and resize pieces as needed.Test
operation of machines periodically and repair issues that might
occur during the shift.Perform basic and preventative maintenance
of machine, e.g., change oil, change blades, grease/lubricate
fittings, clean, etc.Accurately track time & attendance and tasks
by completing timecards and daily production reports.Plan stock
inventory by checking stock to determine amount available,
anticipating needed stock and placing expedited orders as
needed.Verify receipt of stock and records.Load and unload material
with the overhead crane and sometimes by hand.Perform any other
tasks assigned by supervisor/management necessary to improve daily
company operations.Read and follow blueprint/template/cut sheet and
cut accurately with the least amount of waste.Document actions by
completing production and quality logs.RequirementsHigh school
diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in working with machinery,
e.g. CNC, backsplash, waterjet, saw machines considered an
asset.Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
preferred.Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and
measurement tools.Ability to operate various manufacturing
equipment, follow specific direction, operate power hand tools, and
other duties as assigned.Adherence to health and safety regulations
(e.g. constant use of protective gear)Ability to read blueprints,
templates, and manualsAttention to detail.Teamwork and
communication skills.Excellent attendance and punctuality.Ability
to work independently.Ability to multitask.Always maintain a clean
work environment.Ability to read a tape measure, basic math, and
computer skills.Ability to work safely and comply with all safety
regulations.Ability to lift, push or pull 50 to 100 pounds,
navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire
shift.Required to work required overtime, weekend work and various
shifts depending on position.
