one-on-one, face-to-face and online, tutors read and respond to
undergraduate, graduate students, and faculty writing. For each
onsite tutorial, tutors record summaries of each session. Tutors
also attend weekly professional development meetings and
participate in workshops and study sessions from time to

- Provide feedback to clients who wish to improve the quality of
their written communication skills. Clients may include
undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff depending
on assigned center(s).
- Attend weekly professional development meetings.
- Participate in outreach to TTU community including
orientations, resource fairs, and other events.
- Mentor less experienced writing consultants. Help develop and
implement training and professional development materials and
activities as needed.

- At least one year of experience working as a writing consultant
in higher education. Excellent reading comprehension and written
communication skills. Familiarity with academic genres used by
various disciplines, such as History, Psychology, Literature,
