Job Description:
General Purpose: Support the hauling location by assisting upper
management with the daily operations and provide direction and
leadership to the operational team members. Coordinate a delivery
plan across shifts and address other operational issues as
required. Lead, motivate and listen to team members and management
in order to effectively maintain and improve efficiencies of the
yard operation. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee the daily
operations and dispatching of all scheduled loads to the plant.
Communicate to staff these schedules and ensure that the order is
made. Resolve any issues that may arise in a timely manner and keep
upper management apprised of any issuesEnsure all documentation is
within required compliance of the plant and PMO. This includes, but
is not limited to, manifest, sample vials, weight tickets and
laboratory testing informationWork with contracted haulers to
ensure timely delivery to the plant and maintain the maximum
efficiency of the haulers for support to the shuttle
operationCoordinate the daily schedules and routing instructions
with Southwest Area dispatchMaintain accurate spreadsheets with
daily audit information, dispatched loads to plant, and all
laboratory testing information when necessary. Enter all
information into appropriate systemsKeep an open line of
communication with haulers and other DFA departments concerning all
events and any problematic issues that could affect normal
operationsMonitor the utilization of tankers in assigned area
through the GPS tracking system installed on the tanker
fleetOversee internal tanker washing (CIP) facility to ensure
proper chemicals, pressure, and all processes are being followed.
Monitor the cost of CIP's and provide data for KPIsOversee external
tanker washes at assigned location for tanker appearance. Direct
and monitor the number of washes per tanker and the cleanliness of
the exterior; work with our fleet manager to adjust or assign
additional detail wash crews to ensure our fleet is meeting
standards. Monitor the cost of washes and provide data for
KPIsSupport a positive culture that fosters high performance and
exemplifies positive and team-oriented values in daily
activitiesPromote a safe working environment with haulers, vendors
and other personnel on DFA property or working with DFA
equipmentThe requirements herein are intended to describe the
