Assistant RegistrarLubbock22938BRRegistrar Position DescriptionAssists with management of the Office of the Registrar. May assist in the development, coordination and administration of the department.Major/Essential FunctionsFacilitate matters relative to transfer work for current and prospective student-athletes. Serve as the secondary signature authority for the athletic certification of 17 intercollegiate sports according to NCAA, Big 12 and University policies and procedures.Serve as the secondary signature authority for athletic academic certifications, performing daily certification and eligibility duties for intercollegiate student-athletes, mangers, graduate coaches and practice players according to NCAA, Big 12 and University policies. Coordinate and facilitate transfer-related functions, including identification of appropriate departments for course review, consideration of core requirements according to TEC/TAC, accumulation of supporting documentation and follow-up with departmental contacts and the Office of the Provost.Serve as the liaison between Athletics, other campus partners and the Office of the Registrar IT Team concerning reports pertaining to student-athlete academic information. Provide general supervision of the Unit Coordinator, Athletic Certification plete all club sport and activity certifications plete transfer tracers, maintain the NCAA Transfer Portal and provide other information related to student-athletes transferring away from the institution.Create materials and develop, organize and perform training sessions for campus partners.Assist with providing necessary review and documentation required for internal, NCAA and Big 12 reporting and audits.Assist with completion and disposition of athletic files, records and reports according to NCAA, Big 12 and institutional policies.Overall exhibits ServicePlus orientation in work attitudes and actions, for example, appearance, attendance, cooperation, timely and courteous response, and attentiveness. Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree required and four years administrative or management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years transfer evaluation experience.NCAA Division I Athletic program certification and/or compliance experience.Master's Degree in related field. Ability to work with multiple offices to coordinate and complete certification process.
