Covenant Health is seeking a full time, day shift Manager
Environmental Services with the Childrens Hsp Admin at Covenant
Reports to the Senior Manager of Environmental Services and/or the
Regional Director and is responsible for supervision of subordinate
staff and coordinating the activities of the Environmental Services
and Linen departments. Is responsible for effective management of
business systems in the departments such as financial, quality
control, productivity, staff competency, scheduling, payroll and
regulatory as well process evaluation and improvement. Oversees the
work of assigned work groups and assures continuity and quality of

policies and procedures for quality improvement.
- Consults with, and advises, Leadership of problems related to
the operation of the hospital/department; recommends changes in
administrative policies to carry out objectives more
- Selects, trains/orients and assigns department staff. Develops
standards of performance, evaluates performance, and initiates or
makes recommendations for personnel actions.
- Drives caregiver engagement through interactions, recognition
programs and accountability.
- Manages linen distribution to the hospital units/departments in
a timely and appropriate manner. Ensures linen carts and covers are
maintained in good condition and meets all regulatory requirements.

- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of department
reports. Prepares periodic reports for leadership, as
- Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates and supervises
functions and activities of the housekeeping and linen departments
to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive, and
orderly condition and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Oversees quality of work performed and adherence to established
policies and procedures. Make recommendations to ensure patient,
staff, and physician satisfaction.
- Schedules and supervises housekeeping functions and activities
to not interrupt or interfere with patient care activities.
- Provides essential equipment and supplies and ensures that
cleaning agents/housekeeping chemicals meet required standards to
effect maximum cleanliness and sanitation.
- Inspects and evaluates the hospital's physical condition. Makes
recommendations concerning painting, repairs, furnishings and
furniture, relocation of equipment, and allocation of space to
improve sanitation, appearances, and efficiency.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars,
workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest
trends in field of expertise. Stays current with JCAHO/DHS
standards, management and healthcare issues and trends.

- 1 year Sufficient supervisory/managerial experience in a
hospital or similar institution.
