Providing career growth to our own employees is critical to our ongoing success--take charge of your career goals and empower your future!SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Planner is responsible for maximizing station production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner while always seeking continuous improvement.This involves directing and planning of plant mechanical & electrical work and outside contractor activities. The position requires the development of fully planned work packages including duration, engineered drawings, vendor parts lists, stock materials listings, owner's manuals and coordination of necessary resources.Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of the maintenance strategy. The successful candidate will support and satisfy station operations department priorities as identified during weekly planning meetings.Responsibilities

  • Development of detailed work schedules and work plans that support the site
  • Works with Operations and Station Managers to develop a resource integrated daily, weekly, monthly, and outage work schedules
  • Ensures that all work is planned and complies with current safety procedures and LOTO protocols
  • Develops schedules for Major Maintenance and opportunity outages
  • Develops and tracks maintenance and scheduling KPIs
  • Develops, maintains and updates work packages, job plans, PMs and maintenance procedures
  • Ensures development and implementation of assigned area goals, objectives, and initiatives
  • Supports and emphasizes importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance
  • Ensures all Company resources are utilized in a cost-effective manner, estimates resource requirements, monitors expenditures, and reports on performance of assigned area
  • Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them
  • Assists in the development and rollout of programs around Reliability Centered Maintenance, Asset Management, and Equipment Reliability
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned (SAP, PaSTA, Primavera P-6, MS Office, etc.)
  • Coordinates the development and use of work scope packages for each activity performed during unit outages including all related pre & post outage activities.
  • Oversees the development of work order plan packages that include labor, material, equipment, Lockout-Tagout, technical support and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Leads the development and implementation of outage resource and performance strategies to effectively and efficiently perform all outage work
  • Ensures development, implementation, and monitoring of work plans and schedules in their area of responsibility
  • Leads and directs all aspects projects - schedule, tracking of activities, on-schedule delivery, budget and cost tracking, safety and safety management, parts procurement and delivery to schedule needs, repair activities and coordination of field and shop support, communications to customers and project update documents
  • Drives to meet project schedule, budget, safety and expected operational outcomes through managing issues and typical project barriers Knowledge/Skills

        • High School diploma or equivalent
        • 5 years' experience in maintenance planning
        • 2-3 years of experience working with SAP or other CMMS
        • Experience using a personal computer and standard business softwarePreferred Qualifications:
          • 10 years' experience working in power plants
          • BS degree or PMP
