Conduct eligibility screening for children and adults, determining financial eligibility into services. Provide motivational interviewing and/or crisis intervention, referral and follow-up to community treatment and related services. May provide assessments for customers clinically indicated by the screening; Complete and enter service plans into CMBHS computer system; Monitor computer databases and manager interim services for clients on Region I waiting list for residential treatment; Interim services may include group education, when assigned. OSAR Service Coordinator is expected to deliver, at a minimum, 80 hours of direct service time per month. Complete required documentation; Communicate information to supervisor and other Agency staff members; and assist with special projects or assignments as requested.Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet program needs. QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major in the human services field (Psychology, Social Work, Human Development/Family Studies, etc.) is preferred and with two (2) years of full-time related work experience in substance use services or social worker field required. (Education and experience may be substituted 1 year of full-time work experience equals 30 hours of college). Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) is required. Candidate must qualify as a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) under the TX Department of State Health Services guidelines. Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, etc.) and personal computer with Microsoft office products is required. Knowledge of agency software (CMHC & CMBHS) is preferred. Some local travel is required. Candidate must have a valid Texas driver's license, liability car insurance and be insurable under the Agency insurance.
