General Manager: Position Summary: The General Manager (GM) is the highest level of management within a single store. The GM is responsible for leading, mentoring and advising the management team and staff to the successful execution of the restaurant. The GM teaches management on the fundamentals and approach to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, and hospitality while representing the values of Freddys. The GM will also need to have a strong understanding of the stores progress and have a strategic vision for its future development. This position may include assisting the District or Regional Manager as call upon. Job Duties Responsibilities: Core Business Measurements Enforce all company policies, procedures and protocols at the store levelAchieve 90%+ in monthly Operational Assessments and Customer Service AssessmentsEnsure that all operational checklists are completed accurately and timelyAchieve 90%+ on quarterly HR audits including having all proper documentation for all team members, completing reviews in a timely manner and documenting team members one-on-ones and any coaching counseling discussionsEnsure that the Companys mission and values are being communicated and followed by all personnel Leadership Communication Set the standards of the 3 pillars (Hospitality, Quality and Cleanliness)Display a high level of professionalism at all time, especially when communicating with employees and guestsMaintain an environment of open communication, positive attitude and trust based relationships with all personnelProvide equal amounts of praise and constructive criticism, utilizing on going positive reinforcementWork to ensure Customer Satisfaction is the highest priority for all team members and promote the understanding that hospitality begins behind the counterInteracts with guests to ensure 100% customer satisfactionLead by example in all of your actions including maintaining a professional image and appearanceConduct regularly scheduled manager meetings and communicate goals and objectives to the team address opportunities with a focus on operations, profitability and expectationsDevelop team members in their duties and careers as well as ensure cross training staff is a priority (must have 100% compliance with Freducation training program Financial Performance Implement action plans to increase restaurant and retail salesEnsure quality control standards and procedures are strictly enforced and that staff are trained to meet those standardsEnsure consistent execution of new menu inserts, rollouts, promotions and special eventsEnsure all standardized portion control guidelines are followed and maintainedMonitor sales trends and make effective decisions to control the key costs of sales and laborDevelop accurate weekly revenue forecasts to ensure that departmental labor can be accurately forecastedMaximize productivity without compromising quality standardsProvide period-end PL and budget review for District Manager Health Safety Ensure full restaurant compliance with all HACCP and health department regulationsEnsure daily, weekly and monthly inspections are conducted and immediately address critical violations and create action plan to correct repeat violationsEnforce employee hygiene standards in the restaurant to minimize illness risksEnsure proper tools are in place to maintain a safe work environment Other Duties Handle and resolve guest complaints/concerns with the commitment to satisfy themReview and approve all schedules and forecastsCoordinate opening/closing activities in a timely and safe mannerEnsure that all cash handling procedures are followedResolve conflicts and improve team member performance in a constructive manner and according to policiesIdentify future staffing needs and conduct terminations as neededMust have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Internet and EmailMust ensure that all paperwork and administrative forms are forwarded to JRI office in a timely manner Qualifications/Requirements: Ability to stand and walk 10 hours/dayAbility to continuously reach, bend, lift, carry and stoopAbility to freely access all areas of the restaurantAbility to move or handle items weighing 0-75lbsAbility to work varied hours/days to oversee store operationsHazards include, but not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns Competencies: I Adaptability I Building A Successful Team I Building Customer Loyalty I Building Partnerships I Building Organizational Talent I Building Trust I Business Acumen I Coaching Developing I Communication I Continuous Improvement I Continuous Learning I Contributing to Team Success I Customer Focus I Decision Making I Delegating Responsibility I Developing Others I Driving for Results I Driving Execution I Facilitating Change I Follow-Up I Influence I Inspiring Others I Managing Conflict I Meeting Leadership I Meeting Participation I Optimizing Diversity I Planning Organizing I Passion for Results I Quality Control I Selecting Talent I Work Standards I
