23456BRExtended Job Title:Media Relations CoordinatorPosition Description:Plan and develop communication for information about programs to maintain a favorable public and stakeholder perceptions of the organization's accomplishments or agenda.Requisition ID:23456BRTravel Required:NoneMajor/Essential Functions:Develop, implement, and maintain a cohesive branding and marketing strategy for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DDEI), Office of Institutional Diversity (OID) and the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (OVPDEI), in conjunction with the Senior Directors of DDEI and OID and the VP of DDEI/CDODevelop strategies and implementation for web, design, social media, data visuals, and print materialsAssist with the development of communication strategic plans for all areasPlan and execute regular social media posts to also include YouTube content and channelDesign print, and digital materials for programs, events, workshops, external ads, email communication, and reportsUtilize the Canva program to provide feedback and approve department and unit marketing materialsImplement recruitment marketing plans for DDEI/OID programs and servicesProduce and edit, high quality stories and other forms of written communications that can be used for external and/or internal distributionCollaborate with TTU Marketing & Communications staff on video, audio, stories, and deliverables appropriate for print, digital images, multimedia, and final video and audio productsCreate, administer, analyze, and report data and analytics for marketing outreach and engagement with key stakeholders. Design online survey instrument visual appearanceGrant Funded?:NoMinimum Hire Rate:4000Pay Basis:MonthlyWork Location:LubbockPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required in design, marketing, communications, visual arts or related fieldDemonstrated knowledge of branding, marketing and strategy related to diverse populations, inclusion and equity work and outcomes with a preference in higher education settingMinimum of three (3) years of direct experience in marketing, media, communications industryMinimum of two (2) years related work experience in the areas of staff supervision, project development and evaluation, reporting and analyticsPrevious work experience and high proficiency utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator; Canva, Microsoft Office applications and website design softwareVery strong knowledge and understanding of various Social Media platformsExcellent written communication skills to include outstanding attention to detailDemonstrated experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in a professional environmentDemonstrated experience creating reportsSkills, Knowledge and AbilitiesAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple prioritiesUnderstanding of higher education diversity, equity and inclusion programs, services and overall advancement of institutional missionAbility to effectively plan, implement, and monitor projectsAbility to work collaboratively with DDEI/OID/OVPDEI staff and other partners.Excellent problem-solving skillsOrganizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to assume responsibility for completing projects efficientlyExcellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse campus communitySelf-motivated with the ability to work under limited supervision and create new strategies to achieve diversity, equity and inclusion goalsKnowledge of and ability to use graphic/creative design software such as Canva and Adobe InDesignKnowledge of and experience with various social media platforms in a professional settingAbility to use data to develop new initiatives and strategiesExperience with web content managementProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteExperience copywritingDepartment:Institutional DiversityRequired Attachments:Cover Letter, Professional/Personal References, Resume / CVJob Type:Full TimePay Statement:Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
