LecturerLubbock22434BRSupport Ops for Academic Retention Position DescriptionContributes to the university's mission through teaching and service, some variation by academic unit.Major/Essential FunctionsCoordinate with the TSI Associate Director to plan, evaluate, and revise TSI Developmental Mathematics curricula, course, content, course materials, and methods of instruction.Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate students on topics as required by the Texas College Career and Readiness Standards for Mathematics.Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.Prepare and administer course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, tests, and handouts.Keep abreast of developments and technological advances in the field of mathematics by reading current literature, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences and professional developmental opportunities.Required QualificationsTerminal academic degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Ability to teach effectively. Job assignment can be full-time or part-time depending on the needs of the department.
