Job DescriptionCOMPANY PROFILE:AgTexas Farm Credit Services is dedicated to the prosperity of agriculture and rural America. The association serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the association has an average volume of approximately $2.3 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. POSITION:The Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist position is located in Lubbock, TX with a salary that is negotiable, depending upon experience. This position will support the Human Resources function of the association in the areas of recruiting and learning and development. Selected candidate will assist managers as they navigate the hiring process and formulate association wide training solutions. *AgTexas, at its sole discretion, may offer this position with a different title based upon the qualifications of the candidate.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Agricultural Economics, Ag Business, or related field, or equivalent experience and three (3) or more years of experience in recruiting and training. Must possess general knowledge of human resource management functions and recruitment laws and practices. Skill in oral and written communication required. Experience working in Articulate360 preferred. Experience in conducting and facilitating trainings preferred. Experience working in a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred. Moderate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Office applications preferred.


  • Provides administrative support for the hiring function of the association. Requests and interprets hiring assessments and phone screenings on candidates for hiring managers.
  • Supports association hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Will supply them with resources and assist in screening candidates and reviewing applications and resumes as needed.
  • Travels to colleges for career fairs and attends virtual careers fairs to promote current association openings and future opportunities.
  • May travel to colleges and present to classes regarding Association opportunities and to communicate a broad understanding of the AgTexas purpose and the types of job opportunities available on the AgTexas team.
  • Responsible for external job postings, documentation of recruiting efforts, and communication efforts with job candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Actively recruits and works to maintain a presence through online platforms. Coordinates with association marketing department as needed for involvement with social media presence.
  • Possesses a general understanding of recruiting laws and the association's AAP as associated with recruiting practices and assists managers in order to comply and document processes.
  • Assists with internal programs such as the Summer Internship.
  • Provides support to the objective of creating consistent new hire training and development across regions.
  • Hosts and coordinates training and development initiatives for association employees ongoingly.
  • Works with subject matter experts and managers to develop and assign e-learning trainings to new employees and to all employees as needed, ongoingly.

    WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Frequent interaction with association HR staff, association managers, and AgTexas job candidates. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas HR staff and association senior and executive management. Occasional interaction with training vendors and others who interact with the association in the normal course of business.
