Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive care in a patient-centered environment. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will aid in the daily rehabilitation activities guided by registered occupational therapists, implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. This role demands compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to improving patients' functional abilities. Assist occupational therapists in evaluating patient needs and therapy goals. Implement tailored treatment plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and in-home exercises. Ensure treatment area setup and maintain equipment. Document patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including safety and hygiene protocols. Proficient in therapy techniques and tools for rehabilitation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with clinical guidelines. Capable of managing time efficiently and adapting to changing environments.
