Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Occupational
Therapy Assistant to join our team, providing comprehensive therapy
services across our network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals,
home health agencies, and hospice agencies. This role offers a
flexible schedule with full-time, PRN (pro re nata), pool, and
as-needed availability to accommodate the needs of our diverse
patient population. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will
work under the supervision of our licensed occupational therapists,
helping patients recover and improve skills needed for daily living
and working, tailored to individual patient needs, conditions, and
environments. Assist occupational therapists in developing
treatment plans and therapy goals. Implement therapeutic processes,
document patient responses, and modify activities as required.
Educate patients and families about care plans and maintenance
exercises. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by
complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Ensure operation
of equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following
manufacturer's instructions, and reporting malfunctions.
Proficiency in applying therapeutic techniques and modalities
endorsed by occupational therapy. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to document and record patient
progress. Adaptability to work in various healthcare settings.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified
Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in the practicing
state. CPR Certification preferred.
