As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Encompass Health, you will be part of a dynamic team in our inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, assisting patients in recovering from various injuries and illnesses, and improving their ability to perform daily activities. Whether full-time or on a PRN basis, this role is crucial in enabling holistic recovery and enhancement of patient quality of life. Assist Occupational Therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients. Implement patient therapy plans to regain movement and reduce pain. Monitor patient progress and adapt treatments as necessary. Educate patients and families about home-based recovery techniques. Maintain patient documentation to track progress and treatments. Ensure adherence to healthcare standards and safety regulations. Proficiency in physical therapy techniques and tools Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Capability to handle physical demands of the job Skill in utilizing healthcare software for documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant state license BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required within 90 days of hire
