Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid state license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Titrating cardiac and
vasoactive drips experience is a hard stop requirement.
Description: This position involves working as a Step Down RN in a
step-down specialty unit. The nurse will provide care for adult and
geriatric patients. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4.
Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Floating between
units may be required. Candidates should have experience in
titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. The RN will monitor
patients for various conditions including renal failure and
substance withdrawal. Candidates will be responsible for managing
and monitoring IVs and central lines. Experience with telemetry and
interpretation of dysrhythmias is required. The unit also includes
interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and
social services. The facility emphasizes a professional dress code
for nursing staff. The expected daily census in the unit is
approximately 28.8 patients. All candidates must provide two
supervisory references covering the last year of employment. This
role may require the RN to float to sister facilities if needed.
Providers will be supplied with necessary communication devices for
work-related duties. Travelers' refusal to float may result in
termination of the assignment. Completion of modules may be
