Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Plainview, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,182 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Charge Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room with charge experience required License: Must have a valid compact state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to charge as needed with brief orientation shifts. Description: The position requires a Charge Emergency Room Registered Nurse. This role will involve patient care in a fast-paced environment. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Weekends may be required as needed. The nurse must possess deep knowledge and skills in emergency care. Candidates should be proficient in managing a diverse group of patients, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The department serves an average daily census of 40 patients. The candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special procedures and unit tasks may require the nurse to function in both triage and patient care roles. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities. The nurse will be responsible for managing various emergency situations including but not limited to trauma, respiratory distress, and mental health crises. Prior charge experience is essential for this role. Candidates must be adept at performing critical assessments and interventions. Hospital specifics and additional patient care protocol will be provided during onboarding. The nurse must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Reference checks are required for all applicants prior to hiring. This position involves a commitment to working at least three of the five designated holidays.
