Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory at Providence Health and Services summary: The Laboratory Assistant in a clinical laboratory supports technologists by performing routine specimen collection and processing across multiple lab departments such as Blood Bank and Hematology. The role includes clerical duties and communication between laboratory staff, patients, and other hospital departments. The position requires onsite attendance with flexible shifts, and preferred qualifications include phlebotomy and medical terminology knowledge. Description Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory Performs routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. Processes laboratory specimens. Coordinates and performs clerical/reception, client/patient/customer related duties pertaining to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
