Collaboration: At Covenant Medical Center, our well-established
team consists of 28 physicians and 8 APPs. Work alongside our
dedicated providers, committed to providing patient-centered care
in collaboration with all stakeholders in a positive manner. We

seamlessly collaborate across hospital departments to achieve
shared objectives. Qualifications: The candidate must be
board-certified/eligible. We accept both internal medicine and
family medicine trained physicians. Hospitalist experience is
preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply. ACLS certification
is mandatory. H1B candidates invited to apply; access to Sound's
in-house visa specialists, as well as our licensing and
credentialing experts. Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling: 7 days on, 7 days off. Open nocturnist shift is 8 PM 8
AM. Daily coverage for all positions is: Eleven daytime
hospitalists (rounders 8a-8p), one admitter hospitalist
(8a-8p)/day, one swing hospitalist (10-hour shift 3p-1a), and one
nocturnist physician (8p-8a). Two-day APPs (one rounding, one
admitting 8a-8p) and two night APPs (cross cover and admitting).
Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, comprehensive medical
care and post-operative care to a 977-bed facility (241 beds
covered by Sound). Manage the responsibility of the floor pager and
collaborate with the Nocturnist. Receive a high volume of transfers
from a broad referral area, including a Level IV trauma center and
a comprehensive stroke center. Utilize EPIC EMR systems and Sound's
internal informatics platform. Living and Working in Lubbock:

Lubbock-Centered Care: Many team members serve on various
committees, including the medical executive, utilization
management, quality review, sepsis, and stroke. Some providers are
preceptors for internal medicine residents from Texas Tech
University in Lubbock. We regularly gather monetary donations to
support a local children's home. We handle a significant influx of
patients from Eastern New Mexico and rural Texas, collaborating
closely with case management to overcome unique socioeconomic
challenges and ensure comprehensive care beyond the acute setting.
We operate as a well-organized team with updated systems, teaching
tools, and educational programs provided by Sound, all while
prioritizing patient well-being and supporting career advancement
opportunities within the medical group. Rewards and Benefits:
Compensation: Hourly compensation is $2200 for the nocturnist
position. Nocturnist rounder s base yearly salary is 402K plus
bonuses. Robust sign-on bonus and RVU & quality bonuses offered.
