Ability to assist with training of assigned personnel, take appropriate actions in all situations under the guidance of the Manager/Director. Serves as a diplomat for Respiratory Therapy at Covenant Health System and directly or indirectly affects change within the respiratory department. He/She will encourage competent care, develop individualized intervention, and enhance respiratory therapy skills. Able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, family members, and other disciplines. Ability to assess/reassess others for annual evaluations. Responsible for performing a variety of therapeutic, diagnostic Respiratory Care procedures & the Airway Management Program. Responsible for meeting CHS, JCAHO, and OSHA established policies and standards. Coordinates student activities assuring student competency. Minimal supervision required. Please note the following important details regarding this role: - This is an onsite role that will report into the hospital daily, as scheduled - Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled - Work Week: - 3 days – as defined by hiring manager and departmental needs - 12 HR Shifts – 06:30 – 19:00 - Work Status Available: - Full Time, Days Required Qualifications: - Associate's Degree - Respiratory Care from an AMA approved program - Upon hire: Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License. - Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. - Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association - Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association - 2 or more years of Respiratory Care experience Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree - Respiratory Care - Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Why Join Providence?
