Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required. License: Valid State License required. Certifications: Compact license must be in hand at submission. Must-Have: Experience in orthopedics and trauma management preferred. Description: Travel experience is required for this position. The Registered Nurse will float between units as needed. Weekends will be required based on scheduling needs. Block scheduling is not required. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The unit includes 30 beds focusing on postoperative orthopedic surgery management. Responsibilities may include blood administration, continuous passive motion (CPM) therapy, Bucks traction, and wound vac management. Applicants must be experienced travelers. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 379 staffed beds. The dress code for nursing personnel is solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire. All scrub tops may have colored piping, but printed tops are not acceptable. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as required. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Two supervisory references covering one year are required during the compliance process. Inflexibility with the contracted schedule may lead to termination of contract. Communication devices needed for the role will be provided by the facility at no cost.
