Job Description:
A company is looking for an Emergency Department (ED) Medical
Coder - Remote Nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-10 Codes for
outpatient Emergency Department services
Analyze and correct CCI Edits and Medical Necessity Edits
Maintain up-to-date coding knowledge and participate in department
meetings and educational events
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED
Current coding credential from AHIMA or AAPC
2+ years of Outpatient Facility coding experience
2+ years of experience with PCs in a Windows environment, including
MS Excel and EMR systems
2+ years of ICD-10 experience
