Job Description:

Hospitalist opening in Plainview, Texas. Hospitalist needed for day shifts in Plainview, TX to add to temp labor bench for shifts opening in the Fall.

• BC/BE IM preferred or FM (FM with hospitalist experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
• Schedule: 7a-7p + night call 7p-7a
• Mainly PRN, Shifts will be scheduled monthly
• Acute Hospital
• Hospital Beds: 68
• Open ICU, 5 Beds
• 1 Day Provider (MD), 1 Night Provider (APP)
• EMR: Epic
• Running Codes: Hospitalist
• Rapid Response Team: ED MD will respond, yet will turn over to hospitalist once they arrive in order to return to the ED.
• Procedures: The site has only one surgeon and CRNA on call. If they are in surgery, Hospitalist needs to be available. The procedures required are intubation and placing central lines. While both of these are done rarely by the Hospitalist, they are procedures that the hospital requires to be able to perform. The ability to manage an uncomplicated vent patient is also required .
• BLS & ACLS Required
• Credentialing 60-90 days
• $1250 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
