Quality Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a
travel nursing job in Lubbock, Texas.Job Description &
Requirements
Trauma and Surgical Unit.We provide
quality patient care to a diverse patient population; young adults
up to
geriatrics, planned joint replacements to trauma, and patients
admitted for
other medical disease processes.Our care model places focus on
nurses delivering exceptional care and emphasizes a Primary Care
Nursing model with nurse-to-patient ratios 4:1 or 5:1.A
multi-disciplinary approach to nursing care is utilized on 3W
Ortho. Patient care providers will include Registered Nurses,
Licensed Vocational Nurses, Nurse Assistants/Patient Care
Assistants, Respiratory Therapists, Occupational Therapists,
Physical Therapists, Pharmacists, Social Services, Case Managers,
and Nursing Support Services. ORIENTATION--UMC Hospital
Orientation--UMC Nursing Orientation --Electronic Documentation
trainingIndividualized Unit Specific Orientation--Unit specific
orientation is provided in addition to UMCs Hospital and Nursing
Orientation. Qualifications--Graduation from an accredited School
of Nursing --Valid Texas Nursing License or Compact
Licensure--Knows clinical and nursing standards and practices in
according with the nursing scope and standards of practice as set
forth by the American Nurses Association. --Provides professional
nursing care to patients and provides supervision and guidance to
the members of the nursing staff.--Age specific knowledge is
required when needed for appropriate patient care. --Has working
knowledge of organizational and nursing policies. --Requires
adequate hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.--Talking and
hearing is essential for communication.--Visual acuity is required
to work with patients for observation, assessment, and electronic
charting. --Current CPR certification from American Heart
Association -- Customer service abilities including effective
listening skills--Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and
the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment --Ability to
perform work that requires walking, sitting and standing most of
the time while on duty. Occasional lifting or patients with
assistance is required.--All employees must review, sign and

week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be
