Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management
and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program.
Requires independent judgment and application of established
policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with
evaluation based on overall results obtained.

About the Department and/or College
The Assistant Director will focus on the coordination of the Peer
Mentors and Money Mentors. This position is an expansion of the
currently existing Red to Black Peer Financial Coaching Program.
The action strategies below have been developed to communicate
expectations and program direction.
Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related
field. Three years of related administrative and technical
experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for
the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in financial planning, higher education, or
equivalent area. Knowledge of college student populations and
effective financial education techniques and programs. Knowledge of
college student volunteers, advisement, training, recruitment,
selection, and recognition.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the
individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring
department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional
