Registered Nurse (RN) Cancer Center Symptom Management Clinic

Full Time

Week Day Hours 0900-2100

Weekend Hours 0900-1500

The schedule will rotate every 2 weeks and is similar to inpatient units that work 12 hours.

Example: work Monday, Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, off Monday and Tuesday, work Wednesday and Thursday, off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The UMC Cancer Center has a Clinic and Infusion Center that provide care to adult and pediatric patients with non-cancerous, hematology and/or oncology conditions.

Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy while providing and directing patient care for a group of patients. Relates effectively with other departments for optimal continuity of care.

Qualifications:

* Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
* Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
* Experienced RN
* Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association
* BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
* Completion of ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy required within 90 days.
