Job Description:
DescriptionPlans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of
nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit
management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical
area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure
continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision
required.Required qualifications:
- Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become
licensed in the State of Texas.
- Coursework/Training:
- JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices:
- Maintains radiation safety training annually
- Maintains conscious sedation education annually
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, for:
- Hospital/Clinic
- Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and
Research
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
- ACC, Within 2 years of employment
- Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon
hire
- TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager,
Pediatric Trauma Program) upon hire
- 3 years' Professional nursing experience
- 2 years' Clinical experience in specific clinical areaPreferred
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, for: Staffing Operations Nurse
Manager
- Master's Degree in Nursing, for:
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Pediatric Emergency Department
- Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
- Master's Degree for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services
Education and Research
- Specialty certification related to practice upon hire
- Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American
Heart Association upon hire
- National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy
hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical
Oncology and Physicians Offices) upon hire
