DescriptionPlans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.Required qualifications:

  • Meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Coursework/Training:
  • JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices:
  • Maintains radiation safety training annually
  • Maintains conscious sedation education annually
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, for:
  • Hospital/Clinic
  • Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
  • ACC, Within 2 years of employment
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • TNCC, ENPC - TNCC and ENPC Instructor preferred (for Manager, Pediatric Trauma Program) upon hire
  • 3 years' Professional nursing experience
  • 2 years' Clinical experience in specific clinical areaPreferred qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, for: Staffing Operations Nurse Manager
    • Master's Degree in Nursing, for:
    • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
    • Pediatric Emergency Department
    • Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit
    • Master's Degree for Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiac Services Education and Research
    • Specialty certification related to practice upon hire
    • Provider Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association upon hire
    • National oncology certification (OCN), Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification every 2 years (for JACC Medical Oncology and Physicians Offices) upon hire
