Position Summary:Eastern New Mexico University is seeking doctoral applicants for a full-time faculty member beginning August 2023. This is a 9-month tenure-track position with Assistant or Associate professor rank (dependent on experience) with possible extended contract and/or summer employment options. Academic rank, salary, and other duty eligibility will be commensurate with education and experience. This is a residential appointment, and campus presence is expected. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses in CDIS and/or supervising graduate student clinicians in SLP. Service, research, and other scholarly activity expectations will be determined by academic rank. The faculty member will be expected to assist with ASHA accreditation compliance as assigned, and to participate in a regular program, departmental, and university activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements: The candidate should present: 1) CCC-SLP; 2) Earned doctorate or ABD (Ph.D. or Ed.D preferred); 3) at least two years of CDIS practice experience; and 4) eligibility for NM licensure as SLP. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds. Working Conditions Physical Demand and Working Conditions: Work is sedentary in nature and that at times requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
