KLVT Levelland/Cute Boots Broadcasting LLC is seeking to fill the position of News Director and Marketing Associate for an independently owned and operated station in Levelland Texas with the job starting immediately. As News Director, the applicant will oversee production and on-air anchoring of radio newscasts and public affairs programs. Will direct coverage for news stories, and cover and prepare news stories for broadcast. You will also provide editorial decision making and guidance to ensure compliance and accuracy, and that deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment. You will also be serving in an "on air" capacity on morning talk driven program Monday through Friday. As a marketing associate, you will develop client relationships, marketing packages, generate new clients and leads and service exiting accounts. This is a full time position offering a base salary with the possibility for commissions and bonuses. You must posses a valid Texas drivers license, and reliable transpiration as some travel will be required in the position. Ability to work some evenings, weekends and holidays is required. No or very limited physical effort required and there is very limited exposure to physical risk. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Applicants should be able to problem solve, make immediate decisions and provide leadership skills and examples. Have the ability to develop and deliver news reports and programs on-air and online. Have a knowledge of broadcast and web-based journalism principles and techniques and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
